Edward Robert Muscare (also known as Edarem, Uncle Ed, and Edmus Scarey) was born on September 27, 1932, in Long Island, New York, United States of America. He was brought into the world by a working-class Sicilian immigrant family in Queens, New York.
Edarem’s father was Edward Joseph Vianney from Corona, Queens, New York City. His mother, Angelina hails from Caltanissetta, Sicily. His parents got married before emigrating to New York in 1916. His father worked as a tailor while his mother worked as a seamstress.
Edarem was brought up as the youngest of seven children. He has two brothers and 4 sisters. He and his family moved to Florida in 1945. He moved to Hialeah, Miami, as a teenager, eventually joining the United States Army in 1952. He was stationed in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and then in West Germany, where he worked as a Morse code operator.
Regarding his educational background, Edarem attended high school in Florida. He started out as a presenter for local programming in Kansas City and Phoenix. His entertainment career started in 1970 with KBMA-TV (later KSHB-TV) in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was the host of the children’s program 41 Treehouse Lane until 1983.
Edarem was also a television presenter by the stage name “Uncle Ed”. He hosted a late-night show called Uncle Ed’s All Night Live until 1984. In 1985, Edarem, using the moniker “Edmus Scarey” debuted on KNXV-TV in Phoenix as the host of the late-night program, Friday Night at the Frights. He resigned a year later.
Edarem Arrest
Edarem’s career came to an end after his arrest for sexual battery in 1986. His arrest came shortly after leaving KNXV-TV. The following year, he was charged and sentenced to imprisonment for 18 months and placed on probation for ten years. He then launched his YouTube channel in 2006, where he started uploading content which gave him short-lived popularity. The account under the pseudonym Edarem had 130 videos of himself.
However, due to his earlier probation, Edarem was forbidden from owning a computer and by creating a YouTube channel, he was put on trial in 2010. Edarem got sentenced to five years in prison for violation of probation. Before he could get released, Edarem passed away on January 8, 2012, in Lake Butler, Florida, United States.
