Charlbi Dean Kriek was born on 5 February 1990 and is a South African model and actor. She is best remembered for her parts in the Spud films, Black Lightning, and Triangle of Sadness, which won the Palme d’Or.
Dean was raised in Cape Town by his parents, Johan and Joanne Kriek. At the age of six, she began appearing in advertisements and catalogs as a model. She signed with Alfa Model Management at the age of 12 and began homeschooling at 14 years old.
