Anna Ford is a well-known former television presenter, journalist, and newsreader from England. She was born on October 2, 1943.

She began her career in the media industry by working as a researcher, then moved on to become a news reporter, and then a newsreader, for Granada Television, ITN, and the BBC.

Ford was instrumental in the establishment of the British morning television channel TV-am. In April of 2006, she took her retirement from presenting news on broadcast television,

and she remained a non-executive director of Sainsbury’s until the end of 2012. Tewkesbury, in the county of Gloucestershire, is where Ford currently makes her home.

Ford was previously married to Alan Bittles (1970–1980), but this union ended before she began a career in television. In the late 1970s, she had a brief engagement to Jon Snow, a coworker at ITN.

She wed the magazine editor and cartoonist Mark Boxer in 1981, and the couple went on to have two daughters, Claire (born in 1982) and Kate (born in 1985), before he passed away from a brain tumor in 1988 at their home in Brentford, which is located in Greater London.

Claire was born first, followed by Kate.In the year 2000, she had a fleeting engagement to retired astronaut David Scott, who was the seventh man to set foot on the moon.
