Following Grayson Chrisley’s recent car accident, Savannah Chrisley has recently provided an update. After being involved in a collision on a Tennessee freeway on November 12, the 16-year-old “Chrisley Knows Best” star was taken to the hospital.
On the Nov. 29 episode of her “Unlocked” podcast, Savannah assured listeners that “He’s good,” despite some scrapes and bruises and a possible head injury. The 25-year-old went on to say, “He’s bruised, but he’s okay. “Thank the good lord above, it could have been worse.”
What Savannah Chrisley Said About The Accident
Savannah recalled that on the day of the event, her brother called her first, saying, “I suppose he called me because he was so frightened of getting in trouble, and he felt I could save him from it.”
Savannah explained that the damage was far worse than she had anticipated after arriving at the site under the impression that Grayson had been in a minor collision.
The “Growing Up Chrisley” star remarked, “When I tell you the whole front of his truck, every airbag deployed, like, it was horrible.” Upon arriving and seeing it, “literally, my heart fell.”
The collision occurred just a few days before Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were charged with federal tax fraud, received their sentences on November 21. Todd and Julie will each serve 12 and seven years in jail after being found guilty in June of bank fraud and tax evasion.
Grayson felt much more guilty about the accident as a result of the family’s legal issues. Savannah recalled, “The first thing he said was, ‘This was the last thing that everyone needed. The fact that Grayson survived the tragedy largely unhurt was, however, what mattered most to the wealthy family.
“Grayson, you’re alive, said Dad. You are secure. Who cares?” During the episode, which was filmed prior to Todd and Julie’s punishment, Savannah noted. “It is a vehicle. That is the purpose of insurance. You’re still here, safe, and healthy.”
Savannah concluded by saying that when Grayson got home from the hospital, his 10-year-old niece Chloe Chrisley gave him a big hug.
