Noli de Castro is a Filipino journalist, anchorman, and politician who served as the 12th vice president of the Philippines from 2004 until 2010, under the administration of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
He was born Manuel Leuterio de Castro Jr. on July 6, 1949, and has been known professionally as Noli de Castro since that time. In the election that took place in 2001, he received the most votes of any candidate for senator, which led to his election to the Senate of the Philippines.
De Castro is currently the host of the radio programs Kabayan and TeleRadyo Balita on DZMM-AM/TeleRadyo. Prior to that, he was the founding host of TV Patrol on ABS-CBN/Kapamilya Channel and served in that capacity for a significant amount of time.
