Ritula Shah is a journalist and news presenter on BBC Radio. She is the main presenter of The World Tonight on BBC Radio 4. Previously Shah presented Woman’s Hour on Radio 4 and was a launch presenter for The World Today on the BBC World Service
Who is Ritula Shah?
Ritula joined The World Today at its launch in January 1999.
Since then she’s been involved in the program’s coverage of everything from September 11, 2001 and its aftermath to sports and the arts.
Before arriving at the World Service, Ritula worked in BBC television and radio news, including a lengthy period on the Today program on Radio 4.
Ritula began working for the BBC after graduating from Warwick University in 1988.
She is married with two children.
