The body of Orsolya Gaal, 51, was found inside a duffel bag just after 8 a.m. in an upscale Queens neighborhood, and police found a trail of blood leading back to her Juno Street home.
A MYSTERY has emerged following the discovery of a mother-of-two dead inside a bloody duffel bag on a popular trail.
Who is Orsolya Gaal?
Glenn Van Nostrand, a dog walker, discovered Orsolya Gaal’s body just after 8 a.m. on Saturday and phoned 911.
Van Nostrand discovered the duffel bag near Metropolitan Avenue and Forest Park Drive in Queens, New York.
The man’s two dogs led him to the find and assisted detectives in finding a new blood trail.
Ms Gaal’s corpse had not been dismembered, according to investigators.
Cops were then taken half a mile away on Juno Street to Ms Gaal’s $2 million home, where they discovered her 13-year-old son alone.
According to investigators, the teen had no idea where his mother was. He was brought away in handcuffs, according to neighbors, according to the New York Post. He was interrogated and then freed.
Howard Klein, Ms Gaal’s husband, and their 17-year-old son were apparently out of state at the time.
Cops stated that they will be returning to New York.
Officials with inside knowledge told the New York Post that the two individuals are people of interest in the case.
Ms Gaal’s Facebook profile shows numerous photos of her with a dog, some with New York City in the background.
She attended the Budapest Business School College of International Management and Business, according to her Facebook profile.
On New Year’s Eve, Gaal posted a photo of her family with the caption: “Happy new year to all of you dear friends and family!
Hoping 2022 will be a great one!”
Klein’s Twitter suggests he is a lithium trader and founder of RK Equity.
His LinkedIn shows he attended the University of Michigan, which is allegedly where he was with the 17-year-old son at the time of the incident.
He has not immediately returned a request for comment.
