Michael Lee Aday, best known as Meat Loaf, was born on September 27, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, the United States of America. His mother is Wilma Artie Hukel who was a school teacher as well as a member of the Vo-di-o-do Girls gospel music quartet.
Meat Loaf’s father Orvis Wesley Aday was a police officer who ran the business Griffin Grocery Company, alongside his wife and a friend. Orvis Aday was medically discharged from the U.S. Army during World War II following injuries sustained by pieces from a mortar shell.
Meat Loaf lost his mother Wilma in 1967 to cancer when he was 19 years old. Talking about his educational background, Meat Loaf graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965. In high school, he was active in football as a defensive tackle and had also appeared in some school stage productions.
Meat Loaf later went to college at Lubbock Christian University. However, he transferred to North Texas State University (now known as the University of North Texas).
Meat Loaf made a name for himself in the music industry and has been regarded as one of the world’s best-selling music artists. Meat Loaf passed away on January 20, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee, the United States. His official cause of death has not been revealed. He had earlier contracted COVID-19 in January.
