Fifty-Eight year old German born Journalist Matt Frei is a British-German television news Journalist and writer, he worked as the Washington’s correspondent for Channel 4 news before becoming the Channel’s Europe editor and Presenter of the evening news.
Early life and Education
He was born on 26th November, 1963 in Esson, West Germany. At the age of 10 he moved to the United Kingdom with his family. Frei’s Father was a London correspondent for Deutschlandfurk.
Matt was educated at Westminster school. He then went to Saint Peter’s college at the Oxford university where he read History and Spanish.
Matt Frei’s Career
On joining the BBC he spent a year in the German section on the world service, he was then moved to the English current affairs to work for about a year. In May 2011 it was announced that frei would switch from the BBC to channel 4 later that year.
Frei headed the reporters who took coverage of the United States presidential elections in October 2012. Matt started appearing occasionally as a presenter on the LBC radio programme the 10:00am show.
