Mark Fuhrman was born on February 5, 1952, in Eatonville, Washington. Talking about his educational background, he attended Peninsula High School in Gig Harbor, Washington.

Mark Fuhrman’s parents got divorced when he was only seven years old. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1970 at the age of 18. There he trained as a machine gunner and military policeman.

Mark Fuhrman served during the Vietnam War era and was honourably discharged in 1975 after achieving the rank of sergeant. He later joined the Los Angeles Police Academy, graduating in 1975.

Mark Fuhrman was promoted to detective in 1989 and then retired from the Los Angeles Police Department in early 1995, after serving as a police officer for 20 years.

Notable among the cases he worked on, is his part in the investigation of the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in the O. J. Simpson murder case. He had responded to a domestic violence call between a renowned former National Football League player, O. J. Simpson, and his spouse, Nicole Brown Simpson in 1985.

Mark Fuhrman’s statement about the call was pivotal in the arrest of O.J. Simpson for spousal abuse in 1989. He has also worked to prove the innocence of an African-American named Arrick Harris who had been falsely implicated in a murder in October 1994.

As of now, Mark Fuhrman works for Fox News as a forensic and crime scene expert. He has also been a frequent guest of Fox commentator Sean Hannity as well as the host of the Mark Fuhrman Show on KGA-AM in Spokane (8 am-11 am PT).

Mark Fuhrman has also taken to writing true crime books and hosting talk radios following his retirement from the LAPD. He was also a collector of various war memorabilia and medals.
