After receiving more than two dozen reports from the public identifying him as a man who was looking into people’s houses, officials were able to make an arrest of a convicted sex offender.

The alleged peeping Tom, 36-year-old Kevin Michael Ayers of Hamilton, Ohio, was apprehended peering into people’s windows in Liberty Township, a Cincinnati suburb situated about 28 miles to the north of the city.

When he finds the peeping Tom outside his girlfriend’s window, the man beats him to death.

According to a statement from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office that was shared on social media, “Detectives received over 25 reports from the public identifying Mr. Ayers, along with information from other law enforcement agencies that are familiar with him due to prior incidents.

On September 6, Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones tweeted a video of what appeared to be a prowler looking into a house on August 22 at around 1:23 a.m.

Jones further stated that on September 5 at 10:50 p.m., the suspect was seen performing the identical act once more. If the culprit was captured on the same camera in each of these incidents, Jones did not specify.

However, on September 8, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office said that the suspect had been detained and charged with criminal trespass, a fourth-degree misdemeanor in the state of Ohio.
