Who is Elisabeth Sladen?
Sladen’s career began with a minor role in the 1972 film Ferry Cross the Mersey as an uncredited extra. She later went on to play the role of Sarah Jane again in Dimensions In Time.
Sladen also appeared in the documentary 30 Years In The TARDIS. In addition to her acting, Sladen is a mother of two young daughters. Her daughter wore an Andy Pandy costume in the movie, “The Hand Of Fear.”
After graduating from drama school, Sladen performed in repertory theatre in the northern cities of Liverpool and Manchester.
Then, she joined the company of a British actor, Martin Miller. They married on 8 June 1968. While in Manchester, Sladen played various roles, most notably Desdemona in Othello. However, her most significant role was her role as Desdemona in Othello.
