Christine McGouty is a former BBC science correspondent. Her reports on science research from Antarctica are broadcast on BBC TV Breakfast News and the Radio 4 Today Program.

She was born in London, she has a BSc. degree in general science from the University of Edinburgh. In 1987 to 1988 she pursued a post graduate diploma in Journalism at the Cardiff school of Journalism. She attended the University of London where she obtained a Master of Arts in medicine, Science, and Society.
Christine is very fluent in English, Italian, Spanish and French.
Christine’s Career

She began her career in London, united kingdom where she worked as a news correspondent at Nature Portfolio. After leaving there, she went to the Daily Telegraph where she was their science and technology specialist from 1990 to 1995.
Christine joined the BBC in 1995, on joining the corporation she was their science and technology correspondent. During her time at the corporation, she presented live TV and Radio reports from NASA mission control in Houston.
She is currently the chief executive officer at Water UK, a position she has held since December, 2019
