According to Sarandos, the production team has not decided when the second season will premiere, but they have said that a second season will arrive by 2022.
The show’s creator, Lee Jung-jae, wrote most of the script for the first season more than a decade ago. For ten years, many studios rejected the idea, but Netflix jumped on board.

The first season’s finale left fans on a cliffhanger. Lee Jung-Jae, the main character of the show, has been trying to get revenge for the atrocities he’s witnessed.
He’s also trying to honor the memory of Sae-Byeok, played by Jung Ho-Yeon. And he won! And he hasn’t ceased dreaming of his role in the second season!
