Between 1978 and 1991, American serial killer and sex offender Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, also referred to as the Milwaukee Monster or the Milwaukee Cannibal, killed and dismembered seventeen men and boys.
In his later murders, he frequently employed cannibalism, necrophilia, and the permanent preservation of body parts—typically the whole or a portion of the skeleton.
At the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin, on November 28, 1994, fellow prisoner Christopher Scarver brutally beat Dahmer to death.
What did Jeffrey Dahmer do to his mom?
After Jeffrey was murdered while incarcerated, Joyce Dahmer and her ex-husband Lionel engaged in a legal battle.
Joyce wanted a brain scan of her son to rule out any biological causes for his murderous tendencies.
Lionel eventually prevailed on his demand despite his opposition. In the end, Jeffrey was cremated.
