Machine Gun Kelly’s animosity with fellow rapper G-Eazy is as old as Eminem’s. According to Billboard, it all started when G-Eazy broke up with Halsey, and photographs of Halsey hanging out with Kelly began to circulate on social media.
Halsey said the photos were old and she was single at the time, while Kelly slammed their relationship in a 2018 interview with “The Breakfast Club.”
When host Charlamagne that God inquired if he had ever been intimate with “[G- Eazy’s] chick,” a.k.a. Halsey, Kelly said yes. “Certainly,” he replied. On Twitter, Halsey responded to the interview in three words.
“How completely pitiful,” she wrote.
G-Eazy, on the other hand, was irritated by Kelly’s remarks about Halsey, especially since he and Halsey ultimately reconciled. G-Eazy released his epic diss single “Bad Boy” in 2018, which was filled with references to Kelly and Halsey.
“MGK, please stop trolling me and get over me/ You want to be me, you’re upset because you’re not as big as me/ I’m everywhere… Call an Uber, turn on the radio, and pretend you’re hearing me / ‘Him & I’s on, upset you’re listening to Halsey sing to me,’ “He made a rap.
The last sentence references Halsey’s song “Him & I,” in which she sings a duet with G-Eazy about their unending love for one another. The lyrics include dramatic declarations such as, “In the end, it’s him and I… We got that love, the wild sort.”
