Nine years after Paul Walker’s passing, Vin Diesel paid a moving homage to him. Before Paul died in a fatal vehicle accident on November 30, 2013, at the age of 40, the Hollywood couple collaborated on five straight installments of the “Fast and Furious” franchise. When he died in the tragic accident in Santa Clarita, California, the late celebrity was at the height of his career.
Walker and his friend Roger Rodas were riding in a Porsche when it collided with a concrete post and caught fire. In the flaming accident, both men perished. Tuesday, November 29, was the tenth anniversary of Walker’s passing, and Diesel posted a flashback image of the co-stars on Instagram the night before. The 55-year-old “Riddick” actor captioned the image, “Nine years… love you and miss you.”
What Paul Walker’s Family Said About Vin Diesel
When Walker passed away during the filming of “Fast 7,” his brothers Caleb and Cody offered to fill in for him for the remaining scenes, which helped the franchise write off his character. Later, a digital overlay of the star’s face was placed on their bodies. Cody marveled about how Diesel has continued to commemorate his late brother in a 2017 interview with TMZ.Â
He told the magazine, “I think Vin and the whole family have done a terrific job gracefully letting the character ride out into the sunset. “Paul would definitely enjoy where it went, in my opinion. It has become so wild. At this point, the ride is really crazy ” He added
Added Cody, “I can’t imagine what he would think, but I do know that Vin has always done a really wonderful job honoring Paul’s persona and always takes Paul’s legacy very seriously. They were brothers for many years and co worked together. When this whole affair originally began, they were all so young.”
Diesel is not the only “Fast and Furious” star who is grieving for Walker, though. Recently, Jordana Brewster talked about how she has known the tragic celebrity “forever.” In an interview with People, the 42-year-old actress discussed how she still misses her late co-star, who portrayed her on-screen spouse in the action film series.
I believe that losing someone has a significant impact on both your life and, to be honest, the lives of a great number of other people. Walker’s grief “goes in waves where it’s really visceral at times, and it’s like it’s incomprehensible that that person isn’t with us anymore,” Brewster said of Walker.
She added, “It simply becomes extremely intense and occasionally becomes less intense. Nevertheless, whether or not it is that person’s birthday, it always comes in waves.”
