Trace Bundy was born on January 20, 1977, in Austin, Minnesota, the United States of America. He is 45 years old as of 2022.
Regarding his family background, Trace Bundy has not revealed any information regarding his biological father, mother or siblings. However, it is a known fact that he grew up with a brother.
Trace Bundy spent part of his childhood growing up in the small town of Buena Vista, Colorado. He had a passion for music from an early age and learnt songs from guitar magazines after purchasing a guitar with his brother.
Regarding his educational background, Trace Bundy attended the University of Colorado where he earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees in civil engineering. This was after he had earlier relocated to Boulder, Colorado.
Trace Bundy proceeded to teach at the University of Colorado for two years. He later decided to pursue a career as a full-time musician after he saw an encouraging increase in his concert bookings. In 1999, he dropped his first musical release with O Night Divine, a collection of traditional Christmas songs.
Trace Bundy continued with the release of 2000’s Solomon’s Splendor. He later released a CD/DVD titled Adapt in October 2004. His recognition increased by the end of 2008 when he was named “Most Promising New Talent of the Year” by Acoustic Guitar magazine.
Trace Bundy was ranked third in the Acoustic Guitar magazine’s “Best Fingerstyle Guitarist of the Year” category. In 2014, Trace Bundy was announced as the winner of the ESPN SportsCenter Fan Jam contest. This was on March 4, 2014, when he performed the program’s theme tune live on the show at ESPN’s studios in Bristol, Connecticut.”
Trace Bundy was the subject of a short documentary film, titled Acoustic Ninja made in 2016. The film was created by Florida State University student Robert Bevis and was a finalist at the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
