Stranger Things Season 4, Part 1 premiered early Friday morning, and the Duffer Brothers are already whetting our appetites for the fifth and final season of their popular Netflix series.
According to our sister site Variety, the Part 2 finale (which airs on Friday, July 1) will “dovetail directly” into the show’s final season.
We had been strangers before, but suddenly we were friends, and there were many tears when it was ended.”
For better or worse, that conclusion will arrive sooner rather than later. “Don’t hold us to it,” they stated,
“but the gap between Seasons 4 and 5 should be much less this time due to the fact that we already have an initial framework and we can’t think there will be another six-month forced sabbatical.”
The end of Stranger Things’ five-season run, however, isn’t always the final chapter.
“We have a concept for a spinoff that we’re really thrilled about,” the Duffers acknowledged, “but we haven’t informed anyone about it yet, let alone written it.”
“We believe that everyone, even Netflix, will be taken aback when they hear the notion since it is so unique.”
