Sir Keir Rodney Starmer KCB QC is a British politician and former lawyer who has been the Labour Party’s Leader and Opposition Leader since 2020.
Since 2015, he has served as the Member of Parliament for Holborn and St Pancras.
Starmer was born in London and raised in Surrey, where he attended Reigate Grammar School, a selective state school that later became an independent school while he was a student.
He earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Leeds in 1985 and a postgraduate Bachelor of Civil Law degree from St Edmund Hall, Oxford, in 1986.
Before being named a Queen’s Counsel (QC) in 2002, Starmer worked exclusively as a defense lawyer, specializing in human rights issues as a member of Doughty Street Chambers.

Victoria Starmer is a lawyer, and she and her husband married in 2007.In their £1.75 million home in Camden, North London, Sir Keir and Victoria are said to live together.
Lady Victoria previously worked as a solicitor, and her husband was knighted for his efforts to abolish the death penalty worldwide.
Victoria is said to now work in the field of occupational health.
Victoria is a devout follower of the Jewish faith, and she insists that her children learn about it so that they can “recognize the faith of part of their grandfather’s family, which is very important.”
Sir Keir and Victoria have two children, but their names have never been revealed.In North London, their son and daughter live with them.
The children are allegedly being raised to be aware of their Jewish heritage.
