She-Hulk Eepisode One Release Date

Marvel Studios and Disney+ have released some new images for the upcoming She-Hulk series, following the release of the first trailer and poster.

The images show Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk in all her green glory for the first time.

The series will premiere on Disney+ later this summer on August 17, with nine episodes released weekly.

Some of these images provide the best look yet at Jessica’s transformation into She-Hulk, a transformation that audiences have come to expect from Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk.

There’s also a shot of Bruce as the Hulk assisting Walters in harnessing her power (in the same form as in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame).

This scene was heavily emphasized in the trailer, and it’s clear that Jessica will face some of the same obstacles that Bruce did in the early Marvel movies.

There’s also an image of Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky, also known as Abomination, who appears alongside Ruffalo.

At the Disney Investor Day presentation in December 2020, Roth (along with Ruffalo) was announced as returning to the series. The image is particularly intriguing because it shows Emil in human form.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will remember Abomination’s new appearance from last year’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

According to the trailer, Abomination’s monstrous side will be featured in this series as well, which will be interesting to note given the lack of information about his whereabouts or current situation in Shang-Chi.

Along with Maslany, Ruffalo, and Roth, the series stars Ginger Gonzaga (Ted), Renée Ellis Goldsberry (Hamilton), Jameela Jamil (The Good Place), Josh Segarra (Arrow), and Jon Bass (Baywatch).

Titania, a comic-book foe of She-Hulk, will be played by Jamil. Benedict Wong will appear in the show, likely tying the thread of Abomination’s inclusion in Shang-Chi together (the two appeared together in the film).

She-Hulk was created by Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty, Silicon Valley). Kat Coiro (Marry Me, Girls5Eva) and Anu Valia (Marry Me, Girls5Eva) will share directing duties for the nine thirty-minute episodes (A.P. Bio, Awkwafina is Nora from Queens).

She-Hulk will premiere following the conclusion of Ms. Marvel, with Secret Invasion (starring Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn) and Echo likely to follow suit (starring Alaqua Cox).
