Rick Ardon is an Australian television news presenter who was born on March 4, 1959. Ardon has co-hosted Seven News in Perth with Susannah Carr since 1985.

With nearly 36 years on the air, the team is officially recognized as the world’s longest-serving TV news anchor combination.

Ardon began his career in journalism with The West Australian, the state’s daily newspaper, where he was named Cadet Journalist of the Year in 1977. He transitioned to electronic broadcasting in 1978, joining television station TVW-7 as a news reporter.

By the end of the year, he was also filling in as a relief broadcaster, and by 1985, he had advanced from minor weekend bulletins to a regular weekday news presenter role with Susannah Carr.

The Seven Nightly News rose to the top of the ratings in Perth under their protection, and it remains there to this day.
