Tuesday morning, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband entered a guilty plea through his counsel to a DUI charge related to a drunk driving accident in Napa, California that resulted in the injury of another driver.
As part of the plea agreement, Paul Pelosi, 82, who was not present for the court hearing, will have to go on probation for three years.
During the hearing in Napa County Superior Court, Judge Joseph Solja stated that although the probationary period calls for five days in jail, he will only serve four of those days.
The remaining day would be covered in the court’s work schedule, the judge stated.
