Pamela Wallin, OC SOM, is a Canadian senator, former television journalist, and diplomat who was born on April 10, 1953. She was first elected to the Senate on January 2, 2009, and served as a Conservative.

Wallin briefly returned to CTV after being fired from CBC News to cover the 1995 provincial election in Ontario, but she did not stay with the organization long. Instead, she founded Pamela Wallin Productions and began a daily interview show called Pamela Wallin Live in 1995.

Pamela Wallin Live was a highly successful series that aired on CBC Newsworld and, in some years, on the CBC’s main network as well. It featured Wallin interviewing newsmakers, celebrities, and other interesting personalities in a manner similar to CNN’s Larry King Live.
