On March 31, 2019, Nipsey Hussle was fatally shot.

Hussle was shot outside his Marathon Clothing business in South Los Angeles just hours after writing on Twitter about having “strong opponents.”

“A shooting was reported in the neighborhood of Slauson Ave and Crenshaw Blvd at approximately 3:20pm (11:20BST),” according to an LAPD statement on Twitter.

“Three casualties were taken to a local hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead.”

“The shooting suspect is characterized as a male black & LAPD South Bureau Homicide is continuing an investigation to locate him and anybody else involved,” they wrote later.

On Thursday, April 11, 2019, his funeral was nearly marred by an apparent drive-by gunshot.

During the rapper’s funeral procession, a woman and three males aged 30 to 50 were attacked, according to Los Angeles police.

Eric Holder of Los Angeles has been accused with his murder and is currently awaiting trial as of January 2022.

Who was rapper Nipsey Hussle?

Nipsey Hussle, full name Ermias Davidson Asghedom, was born in Los Angeles, California, on August 15, 1985.

Slauson Boy Vol. 1 was his debut mixtape, which later became the name of his record company.

Nipsey signed with Cinematic Music Group and Epic Records a few years later, in 2008.
