Mutsumi Takahashi CM is a journalist that is Japanese and Canadian. She has been a lead news presenter at CFCF-DT in Montreal, Quebec, since 1986.

Takahashi earned his bachelor’s degree from Vanier College in 1976 and his master’s degree from Concordia University in 1979. She began her career in radio as Lisa Takahashi and later as a news reporter at CFCF in Montreal in 1982.

She was hired as a news presenter for Pulse (now CTV News) after four years, working alongside veteran Bill Haugland until his retirement in 2006. In few lesser appearances for made-for-TV movies, she has played news anchors.

At noon and on weeknights, Takahashi headlines CTV News. Takahashi has repeatedly been named “Best Local Newscaster” in the Montreal Mirror’s Best of Montreal polls, and he continues to do so with Cult MTL’s continuance of the Best of Montreal tradition.
