Mel Baggs changed their name legally to Amelia Evelyn Voicy Baggs in 2014. Regarding their educational background, Mel Baggs attended Harker School, De Anza College and Bard College at Simon’s Rock in 1994 when they were 14 years old. They relocated from California to Vermont in 2005.
Mel Baggs was the creator of the website titled “Getting the Truth Out,” as a response to a campaign by the Autism Society of America. Baggs owns and runs a YouTube channel, silentmiaow, which was active from 2006 to 2020. The channel is host to vlogs and Autism advocacy content.
