Kirsty Jackson Young is a presenter for both radio and television in Scotland. She was born on November 23, 1968.She was the principal presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs from 2006 to 2018, and she had previously hosted Crimewatch on BBC One from 2008 until 2015.

The island of Inchconnachan, located in Loch Lomond, was purchased by Young and her husband with the idea of developing the land there into vacation rental properties.

After being brought there for the first time in the 1940s, the island is now home to a colony of wild wallabies that have been there for the past 80 years. They were first brought there.

Young and her husband are considering relocating the wallabies in order to make room for the holiday lets, despite the fact that there has been some criticism to this idea. The island is a protected conservation area as well as an area of Special Scientific Interest.
