Ken Starr, the chief investigator in the mid-1990s Whitewater controversy, died on September 13, 2022.

Who was Ken Starr’s wife?

He was survived by his wife, Alice Mindell, and three children.

The couple married in 1970, following the announcement of their engagement in the New York Times.

Mendel had just finished her freshman year at Skidmore College in New York and was about to transfer to Duke University with Starr, who was a law student at Duke.

Starr went on to become the president of Baylor University and was a key figure in the Whitewater scandal, which resulted in the impeachment of then-President Bill Clinton.

Mendel supported her husband during the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal investigation, and in a 1999 interview with The Associated Press, she said

Speaking about his father’s death, Randall told KWTX on his behalf and his siblings: “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear and loving father and grandfather, whom we admired for his wonderful work ethic, but for always putting his family first.”

“The love, energy, lovable sense of humor, and interest in fun that Dad showed to each of us was really special, and we cherish the many wonderful memories we were able to experience with him. He is now with his Lord and Savior.”
