Kelsey Musgrove Cause of death

A Wisconsin doctor was discovered dead on a hiking route on Sunday after her loved ones had not heard from her in almost a week.

In a press release issued Sunday, Iron County Sheriffs reported Kelsey Musgrove, MD, a 26-year-old cardiothoracic surgical fellow at the University of Wisconsin, shared that she had arrived at Potato River Falls in Gurney on March 26.

Officials said that on March 30, police in her hometown of Middleton, Wisconsin, asked sheriffs to scour the area for the missing woman.

The sheriff’s office noted, “All indications at the scene and information from family and friends lead us to suspect she went hiking along Potato River and had not returned to her vehicle.”
