Matt Takimoto, 36, is an elementary school teacher in California.
He is currently a fifth-grade teacher.
Matt studied general music at the University of Oregon before earning a master’s degree in education from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015.
Matt worked as a Blog Manager at SB Nation for nine years before deciding to pursue a career in early childhood education.
Matt has also worked as a first-grade student-teacher and previously as a fourth-grade teacher while at Berkeley.

Linda Sellars and returning Champion Charles Fogelman will also appear on Jeopardy! alongside Takimoto.
Sellars, 73, is a retired archivist.
She most recently served as North Carolina State University’s Head of Technical Services for Special Collections.
Linda studied history at Duke University before earning her master’s degree in 1987 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Charles Fogelman, 43, is an assistant professor of geography at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Fogelman received his doctorate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017.
