On September 12, Jeopardy! The game show returned for its 39th season, as did the studio audience, for the first time in two and a half years.

The episode was also Ken Jennings‘ first since being made a a permanent host alongside Mayim Bialik.

“I am so honored to be announced as the host of Jeopardy!,” said Jennings at the top of the show. “But I’m even more excited to be here with you, beginning a new season with our Emmy-winning Jeopardy! staff and crew, with an audience back in the studio for the first time in two and half years, yes!”

He is the highest-earning American game show contestant, having won money on five different game shows, including $4,522,700 on the U.S. game show Jeopardy! which he currently hosts, sharing duties with Mayim Bialik.

Ken Jennings allegedly has an IQ of 175, which is very high, at the genius level of human intelligence.
