Jaylen Brown’s ankle sprain forced him to leave Tuesday’s 107-98 victory over the Atlanta Hawks for the Boston Celtics. Brown was declared out for the remainder of the game, but the good news is that he did not appear to have a severe limp as he walked to the locker room.
After their victory, Celtics player Ime Udoka expanded on Brown’s ankle.”She rolled it. Obviously, there is some inflammation and pain “Udoka said.
“He attempted to play through the injury and wanted to return to the field, but we had to consider the season’s status and the overall picture. We will learn more over the next three days, but he attempted it and it remains uncomfortable and swollen.”
Brown is not expected to play Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies, despite Udoka’s optimism that this is not a long-term injury.
He left on his own and then attempted to enter the rear, so you would hope not. However, we will analyze him in the next days.
It doesn’t appear so, but you never know how swelling and agony could change overnight.”Obviously, the Celtics cannot be without Brown for too long. Again, the injury did not appear too severe, but even a week’s absence will be difficult for Boston.
As of this writing, the Celtics and Raptors are tied for the No. 6 spot in the loss column, with both teams in action and the play-in tournament on the other side.
