Jacob William Hoggard (born July 9, 1984) is a Canadian musician best known as the main singer of the pop-rock band Hedley. Prior to the formation of Hedley in 2004, Hoggard placed third on the second season of Canadian Idol.
In 2018, he was arrested and charged with sexual assault, after which he declared he would cease touring and performing until further notice. Hoggard’s career began on Canadian Idol. In the second season of the show, he was one of the final three contestants.
He, along with Dave Rosin, Tommy Mac, and Chris Crippin, established the band Hedley. The group’s debut single “On My Own” debuted at number one on the Canadian Singles Chart.
