Tim Sale, an Eisner Award-winning American comics artist, was born in Ithaca, New York, on May 1, 1956, The Eisner Award-winning American comic artist is best known for his collaborations with writer Jeph Loeb.

His father, Roger Sale, was an American literary critic and author, and his mother, Dorothy Young Sale, had a somewhat forgotten career, Sale, a native of Seattle, Washington, moved there with his family when he was six years old.

He studied for two years at the University of Washington before heading to New York City to attend the School of Visual Arts (SVA).

He went on to study at artist John Buscema’s comics workshop before returning to Seattle and graduating from SVA.

He began doing drawings for the MythAdventures series in 1983.
