When Bream was 17 years old, she enrolled at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She won the Miss Virginia pageant in 1990 while still a student. She later competed in the Miss America pageant in 1991. The scholarship she received paid for the majority of her education expenses.
Bream graduated with a magna cum laude in business management from Liberty University in 1993 before moving back to Tallahassee and enrolling at Florida State University’s law school. She worked as a congressional intern for Bill McCollum. Later, McCollum advanced to the position of attorney general of Florida.
While a student at Florida State University’s law school, she won Miss Florida USA in 1995 and placed fourth in the Miss America pageant.
She is married, Shannon Bream. Sheldon Bream, her longtime boyfriend, and she were married. At Liberty University, where they were both enrolled, the couple initially met. In the end, they got married on December 30, 1995. Together, they are enjoying a wonderful and happy life.
