A deceased woman has been located, according to authorities. On September 6, the woman was first reported missing.
According to a press release from the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO), Karla Aguilera, 37, of Tome, was reported missing to their office on September 6 at about 11:24 p.m. Children of Aguilera who were in Los Lunas at the time of the incident informed authorities that she had vanished. Aguilera’s disappearance was deemed suspicious by investigators, prompting the county to launch an investigation to locate both her and her husband.
The Torrance County Sheriff’s Office uncovered a body on September 14 close to Mountainair and Highway 60. According to a presumptive report from the Office of the Medical Investigator, Karla Aguilera was the deceased.
According to officials, there are clues that point to Aguilera-involvement Gamboa’s in the death and disappearance of Karla Aguilera. Aguilera-Gamboa has been the subject of a felony arrest warrant. The Garden City Police Department detained him in Kansas early on Saturday.
