Who was Hollis Resnik?
She was born and raised in Euclid, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland), where she learned piano and vocal lessons as a child and sang in the Cleveland Symphony Children’s Choir.
She graduated from Euclid High School in 1973 after attending Russell H. Erwine Elementary and Shore Junior High School.
She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Denison University.
Resnik, a Chicago-based theatre performer, won the Sarah Siddons Award in 1992. She had a supporting role in the feature pictures Backdraft and Little Big Top, an independent film, and appeared three times on the television show Cupid. Resnik played Amy the “sympathetic therapist” in the Off-Broadway musical version of Wings in 1993.
