Masashi Kishimoto created the character known as Gaara of the Desert for the Naruto manga and anime series. Gaara, a shinobi associated with Sunagakure and the son of Sunagakure’s leader, the Fourth Kazekage, made his debut as an adversary.
Gaara meets Hakuto of the Hki family, the woman the Suna Council has chosen for his marriage match.
Gaara is still single, as others have noted, but he once made a fictitious marriage proposal to Hakuto.
Who is Gaara?
Gaara was developed as a counterpoint to the series’ title character, Naruto Uzumaki, as the two were born under similar conditions but grow up in quite different ways.
His final design underwent significant alterations, as did his name, and later arcs adjusted it to make Gaara’s design simpler to draw.
Gaara is voiced by Liam O’Brien in the English adaptation of the anime while Akira Ishida does it in the Japanese version.
