Manchester City lost Raheem Sterling to injury in the 83rd minute of their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The winger picked up what looked like a muscle injury on his left leg while trying to put a cross in, which led to him being replaced by Bernardo Silva.
This isn’t good news for City and Pep Guardiola, with the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Real Madrid to come on February 26.
If Sterling isn’t able to play at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, City will lose their second top scorer this season.
The Englishman’s tally of 20 for the campaign is only bettered by Sergio Aguero’s 21 in all competitions.
However, Sterling has gone eight games without a goal.
