Is Brazilian Model Lea T Transgender?

Brazilian transgender model Lea T is the face of American hair care brand Redken. During a 2011 interview, the model admitted to being nervous about the surgery. She later had the procedure, and she has since been open about the process. Although she is still young, she is already making headlines as a transgender icon. She was born Toninho Cerezo and raised in Italy. She reveals that she was assigned male at birth and underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2008.

As an international supermodel, Lea T has appeared in numerous campaigns for brands including Givenchy, Reebok, and Redken. She’s currently taking a break from modelling, but has previously opened up to the media. Recently, she spoke to New York Magazine about her transition. She was one of the first high fashion models to come out as trans. She was discovered by Riccardo Tisci, a famous stylist and designer.

In 2010, she was discovered by the senior designer of Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci. She became the face of the fashion brand in Italy. In 2011, she became the face of Redken, a hair care company. This made her the first transgender model to front a major cosmetics brand. As of December 2018, she has not been publicly outed as a transgender woman.
