Chantal is a Canadian born Actress. She ws born and raised in Quebec. Thuy’s parents are refugees from Vietnam, they both fled the war in 1975. She graduated from an Acting Institution based in New York City.

Thuy bacame popular when she played the role of a DC comics character Grace Choi in Black Lightning which began in 2018. The series ran for four seasons and ended in 2021.

Prior to the Series ending Detective Lia on Magnum P.I, a CBS action crime drama series.

Chantal Thuy was brought up by her parents as a Catholic, but she practices Buddhism under a Tibetan Buddhist teacher.
