Prime Day Apple Watch deals are starting to heat up. As expected, we’re seeing Prime Day deals on all of Apple’s watches, including the just-released Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch 6.
However, if you’re looking for cheap Prime Day Apple Watch deals — look no further than the Apple Watch 3. Yes, it’s the old watch in Apple’s arsenal, but it’s still a very capable watch and the best Apple Watch for most users. The $199 base model has been selling for $169 most of the summer and could dip to $149 or less next week when Prime Day begins.
Otherwise, below we’re offering predictions on this year’s Prime Day Apple Watch deals as well as listing today’s best Apple Watch deals. Remember, Prime Day 2020 starts October 13.
Prime Day Apple Watch deals — top sales right now
Best Prime Day Apple Watch deals
Apple Watch 3 (GPS/38mm): was $199 now $169 @ Amazon
If you’re looking for the least expensive Prime Day Apple Watch deals, keep your eye on the Apple Watch 3. This is Apple’s entry-level watch and the model most likely to dip below $150. The waterproof watch offers heart rate notifications, workout detection, Apple Music, and Siri support for a low price. It’s now $30 off and at its cheapest price of 2020. The 42mm model is also on sale for $199 ($30 off). View Deal
Apple Watch SE: was $279 now $269 @ Amazon
The Apple Watch SE is Apple’s new mid-tier smartwatch. It features the same CPU found in the Apple Watch 5, but packs a screen that’s 30% brighter than the Apple Watch 3. It also supports Emergency SOS calling, fall detection, and features a built-in compass and always-on altimeter. This early Prime Day Apple Watch deal saves you $10. (B&H Photo offers the same price). View Deal
Apple Watch 6: was $399 now $384 @ Amazon
The new Apple Watch 6 features a brighter display, new S6 CPU, and built-in blood oxygen sensors that support Apple’s new Blood Oxygen app. It’s the best Apple Watch you can get and it’s currently $15 off. (B&H Photo offers the same price). View Deal
Prime Day Apple Watch deals — new models
The $279 Apple Watch SE and the $399 Apple Watch 6 are the newest smartwatches in Apple’s lineup. The cheaper Apple Watch SE uses the same CPU as the Apple Watch 5. However, it lacks the Series 5’s always-on display. Otherwise, it has the same accelerometer, gyroscope, and the always-on altimeter found in the Series 6. It also features fall detection, noise monitoring, emergency SOS, and international emergency calling. (None of those features can be found on the entry-level Apple Watch 3).
In terms of Prime Day Apple Watch deals, we predict the Apple Watch SE will see very modest deals. Expect to see $10 off or perhaps $50 off the models with built-in LTE. In fact, the Apple Watch SE has already dropped down to $269 via Amazon and B&H Photo.
Meanwhile, the Apple Watch 6 is likely to see more generous discounts (since it’s priced higher at $399). In fact, you can get the Apple Watch 6 (GPS/40mm) on sale for $384 at Amazon right now. That’s only $15 off, but one of the fastest discounts we’ve seen on a new Apple device.
That said, we expect Prime Day Apple Watch deals for this model to range between $15 to $50 off. Those were the types of deals we saw last year when the Apple Watch 5 first made its debut.
Prime Day Apple Watch deals — previous-gen models
Get ready to see some amazing Prime Day Apple Watch deals on the Series 5. In fact, earlier this week Amazon had the Apple Watch 5 (GPS/44mm) on sale for $299. That’s $130 off and the lowest price we’ve seen for this model. By comparison, that’s the sale price we normally see for the smaller 40mm model. That said, any Prime Day Apple Watch deal below $299 would be considered epic and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Meanwhile, the Apple Watch 3 has regularly sold for $169, which is $30 off its full price. We suspect Prime Day Apple Watch deals could drop its price to a mere $129. That’s the same price we saw for this model during last year’s Black Friday season. Should it hit that price — or anywhere near it — it will be a short-lived deal with limited stock. So snatch it while you can.
In fact, Apple Watch stock on the older models might be limited, so if you spot any Prime Day Apple Watch deals that are really aggressive, we’d say to buy them (rather than wait for a potentially lower price on Black Friday).
