Did Mark Hoppus have a stroke?
Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 has announced that he has cancer.
On Wednesday, the 49-year-old musician shocked fans by posting an Instagram photo of himself sitting in what appears to be a hospital setting with an IV in his arm.
“Hello, yes,” he wrote alongside it. Please only one cancer treatment.”
The photo was quickly deleted, but not before concerned fans captured it on camera.
Hoppus confirmed the sad news on Twitter hours later, writing, “For the past three months, I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.”
I’m a cancer patient. It stinks and I’m scared, but I’m lucky to have amazing doctors, family, and friends to help me get through it.
“I still have months of treatment ahead of me,” he continued, “but I’m trying to stay hopeful and positive.”
“I can’t wait to be cancer-free and see you all at a concert, hopefully soon.” “I love you all.”
