Daljit Dhaliwal (born September 8, 1962) is a British television newsreader and host. Dhaliwal was a former newscaster for the Al-Jazeera English news service in Washington, DC.
Previously, she was the anchor chair of the PBS program Worldfocus, which aired its final episode on April 2, 2010. She is best known for hosting the critically praised PBS program Foreign Exchange and the United Nations Television-produced CUNY cable television documentary 21st Century.
In addition, Dhaliwal produces news segments for ABC News Now. She was the sole anchor of Foreign Exchange from January 2008 to October 2009. In April 2008, she appeared in one episode of Global Watch.
Since November 2005, she had worked intermittently as a newsreader for BBC World News, primarily as Katty Kay’s replacement.
