Cologira “Clara” Cannucciari was born on August 18, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois, the United States of America. She was brought up alongside a brother named Sam Bonfanti. She was born as one of the two children of her parents Josephine Bonfanti and Joe Bonfanti.
Clara Cannucciari lived through North America’s Great Depression. According to her, she had to drop out of high school due to the fact that her family could not afford socks. She rose to prominence on the internet after her grandson posted her videos on YouTube.
Clara Cannucciari’s grandson Christopher Cannucciari started filming her while preparing her mother’s Depression meals in 2007. The videos were later assembled into the YouTube series Great Depression Cooking with Clara. She gained recognition around the web following this.
