Christine Romans is an American media personality who works as a CNN correspondent and anchor. She hosts CNNfn’s Weekend Business Report and the early start program. Prior to her career with CNN, she worked for Reuters and Knight Ridder Financial News. She was born on 31 January 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Pleasant Valley High School and later attended the University of Iowa where she majored in French. After graduating, she moved to France and studied at the L’Institut Catholique de Lyon.
After graduating from Northwestern University, Romans joined CNN in 1999. In 2001, she was appointed as senior business correspondent for CNNfn. She also anchors CNNfn’s Early Start program, which airs between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. She also presents Weekend Business Show Your Money. In addition to her career at CNN, Romans is married to Eid Tobin, who is a journalist.
