Paul Francis Baier
Paul Francis Baier was born on June 29, 2007. He was diagnosed with congenital heart disease and has undergone several heart surgeries throughout his life.
Despite his health struggles, Paul has persevered and is a vibrant young boy who loves sports and spending time with his family.
In 2016, Bret and Amy co-authored a book titled “Special Heart: A Journey of Faith, Hope, Courage and Love,” which chronicles their family’s experience raising a child with a congenital heart defect.
The book was published by Center Street and received positive reviews for its candid portrayal of the challenges and joys of parenting a child with special needs.
Paul has also become an advocate for other children with congenital heart defects. In 2019, he and his family founded the Paul Francis Baier Comprehensive Pediatric Heart Center at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. The center is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care for children with heart conditions.
Daniel Baier
Daniel Baier is Bret and Amy’s younger son. He was born on January 29, 2011, and is known for his infectious smile and outgoing personality. Like his older brother, Daniel loves sports and spending time with his family.
In addition to his hobbies, Daniel is also an excellent student. He attends a private school in the Washington, D.C. area and has been recognized for his academic achievements.
