David Loyn is a British born Journalist, he has been a foreign correspondent since the late 1970’s. He has worked most of his time at the BBC.

David Loyn was born on 1st March 1984 in North Hampshire, he attended Christ Church at the University of Oxford. He holds an MA degree in Modern History from Oxford University.

He joined The Independent Radio News in 1979, he worked as a radio correspondent there for about 8 years. He joined the BBC as a Tv correspondent in 1987, he later became the corporation’s International Development Correspondent until July 2015.
In 1993 he became the BBC’s correspondent in India, a position he held for over 20 years. While working as an International Development, Loyn mostly reported on conflict and disaster zones particular in Africa.In 2017, he was an adviser in the office of the Afghan president Ashraf Ghani for a year
