Biography of CNN’s Pia Hontiveros


Pia Hontiveros is a Filipino broadcast journalist. She is a correspondent for CNN Philippines, anchor of the news program, and a host contributor to the news show On The Record. She is also a correspondent for ABS-CBN News Channel. Her parents were both educators, and she has three nieces and nephews. Her father worked in the insurance industry, and her mother was a nurse.

Ana Patricia Hontiveros was born on March 10, 1967, in Manila, Philippines. She studied broadcast journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. Her parents are Ginggay and Risa Hontiveros, who both have careers in the entertainment industry. Her family is extremely important to her. She spends as much time as possible with her husband and two children. The couple is happily married with two kids, who are the proudest of her achievements.


As of 2017, Hontiveros earns $75k annually from her work as a CNN news anchor. She has a total of 55.4k followers on Twitter, and has tweeted over 17.2k times.
